A few easy tips for your next adventure:

Before the trip

  • Plan your route a little bit ahead – once you reach national parks you will be out of reception, so book your campsites prior.

  • Bring your own reef safe/coral friendly sunscreen – there are so many options nowadays and the Great Barrier Reef needs you to be careful what you take into the water

During the trip

  • Have some cash on you – some rural towns in Northern Queensland don’t have ATM’s

  • Always have enough water! The Van is spacious enough to store container of drinking water

  • Be careful of driving at dusk and dawn! Most of the wildlife will cross the roads during that time

  • Buy organic insect repellent – the mossies and march flies are mad
